1. Debrief Friday Social event

• turn out was bigger than we expected- lot of freshmen
• mostly seniors contributing to conversation, but there were a couple lower class men
• turned out well, even though it was planned last minute- completely student run
• good timing- about 1 hour
• good flow/transitions
• Action item: individual letters to the Social Science department about curriculum change
• have a brainstorming session
• follow Women's March letter format

2. Sweatshirt Distribution - remaining ones

• sold about half
• Friday after school, Room 304 for the remaining people who pre-ordered to pick them up
• Send email
• Board members to be present: Megan, Spencer, Rachel
• How much should extras cost? About 20 extras 
• $25
• should be able to recognize the people who want to buy extras 
• if they haven't been active but want a sweatshirt, they need to give a reason why

3. Asian American Heritage Month planning

• celebrating specific cultures 
• continue conversation about media presence
• SITV clip about microaggressions/ Asian American identity (one clip every week?)
• take what's happening in ethics and extend it to the whole school

1. Friday Social Event!!

• Mei said yes- Gen will email her to ask for her speech/ questions
• Food/Drink - Boba?
• Boba= not convenient 
• Pineapple buns from Victor's Bakery
• Senorita bread- Orque can pick them up Thursday and bring them to school
• ask for lemonade from the kitchen

• tell people to RSVP if they want food so we know how much to order
• Gen will send in a SITV form today- anchors will just read it during Friday announcements

2. Sweatshirt Distribution

• Distribution- mark off who has gotten them on excel sheet 
• Tuesday after school- upper class men
• Spencer, Rachel, and Ryan 
• Wednesday after school- lower class men
• Megan and Cherina
• Ms. Wong will get freedom pay machine from Business Office
• Orque will get change for those who pay in cash
• limited number of extras- charge more for extras
• Board doesn't have to pay!

• Mrs. Hernandez is really strict about the deadline!

1. March event?

• can no longer make it a GOYB
• Maybe ask Mei to redo her talk for ASC members
• email Mei to see when she's presenting it for the first time if you want to watch (it's this Saturday)
• ask for Friday after school on the 24th or the 31st
• have food!
• Choral room- easiest to set up- check for availability 
• Gen- email Mei to ask when she's free to do it

2. Sweatshirt update

• they're coming next week!
• $21/person
• still need to decide how to distribute- might be best to hand them out after the talk
• cash payments are easiest

3. Board applications

• there's going to be one application for all the affinity clubs
• Mrs. Hernandez will be in charge of sending it out
• no more treasurer role (just a secretary)
• lower class rep is now the ambassador
• new board will be decided before break

4. Mei Tam '17 TEDX Conference

• Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral 9am to 2pm
• speaking about the lack of Asian representation in media and school curriculum 

5. Graduation sashes

• sash request form- explain why do you want a sash
• will be sent out to all the seniors that identified other than white

6. Affinity Group Celebration, May 10, Wednesday

• that's when seniors are getting sashed!
• not doing a Tri-Club dance this year

7. General Meeting

• board application- self-selecting, but we should have a meeting to explain to those interested what exactly they would be doing
• Wednesday the 29th to talk about applications and sashes (tentative)

1. Sweatshirt Update/How should we distribute sweatshirts when they arrive?

• Sr. Orque is going to meet with Mr. Gavin and Mrs. Hernandez today to order them
• should come on the 22nd or later
• We'll try to distribute them at a break meeting
• need to separate them by sizes 
• do frosh/soph on one day and jr/sr on another day
• Spencer- send an update email

2. Applications for board

• Mrs. Hernandez will be in charge of all the applications for the affinity clubs- they'll send them in to her and she'll distribute them to us
• there'll be a common app for all of the groups
• really encourage lower classmen to apply- don't want an all senior-board
• will be sent out soon and decisions will be announced before spring break

3. Center for Asian American Media Festival

• Sr. Orque and Ms. Wong are going to one on Monday at 8:30
• ends on the 19th
• lots of different locations and good topics

4. March event

• Tri-Club dance in the choral room (tentative)
• talk about something current- travel ban, going after undocumented immigrants, etc?
• Video and discussion
• might be better if we were all together
• Micro-aggressions discussion- Oscar, A&F campaign?
• what would be most applicable to a frosh ASC member?
• relate it back to SI community
