• For our social on Friday, we have the Choral Room and the SI kitchen staff was kind enough to take some time to prepare snacks for our meeting (although they are swamped with preparing for the Fashion Show). They will have cookies, pretzels/hummus, water and lemonade for us.

• Has there been any contact with other affinity groups regarding topics?

*ASC Social/Identity Formation:

3.  Letters to Department Heads

• Did we decide how we want to proceed?
• Wait a bit before brainstorming ideas
• Start with English/Social Science Department and then maybe move on to other departments
• When should we start coming up with ideas?
• October 4th during our Wednesday meeting?

*Talk to Mr. Joo about the whole idea and ask him to join in on our meeting

• Canvas - use for calendars for members, discussions, and events - “assignments”

• Introduce ourselves (ASC positions, how we identify)

• SITV? No SITV this week, will send an email to all students that identify as Asian

2. ASC general meeting: Tuesday, September 12th at break

• Targeted for freshmen and newcomers

• Publicity:  email (Tyler), SITV (Katelyn)

• PowerPoint: re-using old welcome presentation but update (Spencer and Megan)

3. Affinity Group X-period

• Ideas?
• Testimonials from teachers and students, one from each affinity group
• Microaggressions?
• *Collaborate with/contact other affinity groups on the testimonial piece

• How do we want to proceed? Brainstorm as ASC Leadership and then invite other members to share their other ideas
• Use a Wednesday meeting to brainstorm
