- they had already been thinking about it but the segment spurred them into action
- Kestrel, Jeri, Emily, Liz, Mei wrote a petition to add more (specifically Asian/Asian American) history in the social science curiculum
- target: social science department and main administration
- showing it to all the Asian American teachers
- But social science curiculum is going to be changed, so ethnic studies aspect will probably be met
- helpful to have a specific voice to push the issue
- asked if ASC was on board and if we could help them advertise it in the future
- hasn't really been discussed yet within Asian American affinity faculty
- can show the segment as the educational piece
- create a powerpoint to help script it

- define stereotypes, racism, etc. for the freshman
- but will the freshman be able to absorb this systematic racism?
- should be okay because they have been exposed to more via the internet/ social media

- Main concerns: higher tuition, affect on Magis program (phasing out middle school Magis program), effect of having middle schoolers on campus, don't have enough space/ resources
