1.) Among Us Debrief

• Should we do this again? How often?
• once a month whenever we have a free Friday
• First Friday tends to be a good time
• Which board members can attend on a regular basis?
• Aaron can't make it, Ethan sometimes has classes

2.) Stickers 

• Remember to pick up by tomorrow at front desk - everyone
• Include thank you, our contact info (email and/or number), and invite them to Movie Night - everyone
• Mail letters during quarter break 
• Each person gets a "row" of stickers

3.) Movie Night - Friday, October 23 at 3:15 pm 

• Mulan is problematic (will not be shown)
• Lead actress supported Hong Kong police & part of the movie was filmed in Xinjiang, China, where a Muslim minority is being held in concentration camps
• Articles on Mulan controversy: NPR, New York Times, LA Times
• Articles on Uighurs: PBS, BBC
• would not be too difficult to set up, would need to come up with discussion questions
• Alternative options
• Discuss why new Mulan is problematic & then show old Mulan?
• Watch another movie
• Parasite (Hulu, Apple TV, YouTube), The Farewell (YouTube, Amazon Prime), Gook (Amazon Prime)
• think about documentaries
• vote between Parasite and The Farewell
• instagram poll? (may not reach everyone, but good for involvement)
• have poll up by Friday - Sophie
• maybe send additional email on the day of event - Ethan
• one story for each movie will brief summary and pictures, last story will have poll
• begin working on posters - Daniel
• do research on the movie  - everyone

• 293 followers - almost 300! 
• started at 205, lots of growth!
• Posting stories right before/during event seems to be really effective

5.) November ID Formation on Friday,  November 6 - tough to do both events, prioritize this one

• begin to start educational part
• Discuss BLM movement, allyship, how Asian Americans were inspired by Black Power movement
• Go into anti-Blackness & LA Riots?
• Show concrete ways of being an ally
• Show how asian Americans have been inspired 
• Look for articles, videos, etc. by Black creators 
• Possible dates?
• continue to think about discussion topics
