  • 1A: ASC 50th Celebration - January 20, 2024

    • Any updates Ms. Wong / Sr. Orque???

      -Tickets are live

      -Need tour guides

Email asking for tour guides - Caitlin and Alicia

Notes From Past Meetings

  • members or board?
-include someone who can speak about ASC beyond simplicity
-Any ASC members will be tour guides

  •  Student Panelist ideas?

  • How has ASC formed your identity and helped you navigate SI?

  • Someone who can speak about ASC and Affinity Groups

  • Draft an email inviting people to be student panelists by next week (11/16) - Jordan and Alicia

    • Clarify: whether or not panelists will be board or general members of ASC

    • For other speaking roles mentioned last week, what would those be? - also clarify if board or members
      -Anthony, Isa, Ashley, maybe?

  •  1B: ID Formation Event for 50th Anniversary: could we get alumni to come speak during the week before the 50th anniversary? (Orque w/ the info)

  • 1C: Lunar New Year event: event date is set for Friday February 16, 2024
    -ONE EVENT

    • Reach out to CCC to see what their plans are? - Nam and Ashley
-Dumpling making event (10th CCC anniversary) CCC only?
-separate events? CCC AND Korean Culture club events?

      -support both club events

      -no individual event for ASC
      -emphasize CCC in publicity

    • Ideas for collab?

      • Incorporate more Asian cultures in celebration
        -Korean Culture Club

    • Monday Morning Ministry : no info from Wotawa yet! -February 12th, 2024

  1. One Dumpling Making event with the Chinese Culture Club For Chinese New Year

  2. @Jordan: me and ms. wong were talking and we thought it would be a good idea if Korean Culture Club made their own event for Korean New Year and ASC could support

  • Reasoning: so ASC has less prep, more inclusive of asian cultures, no conflicts between clubs, we also agreed on having only one event that we would plan (if we were to plan) we wouldn’t be doing too much work

Questions, thoughts, concerns, jokes, prayers?

1d. Could we also do just a student thing for the 50th anniversary in between 50th ALUMNI CELEBRATION and LNY? If it’s okay with moderators we thought it would be a great idea… or we could also do it in April

– moderators would it be okay if we set a tentative date just so we have a general idea of how to plan next year?

February 28th, 2024 SIPAC Lunar New Year event
