Today’s Check In: If you were a chip what flavor would you be?

1. Diwali: GOOD JOB EVERYBODY!!! 

• What did we do well and how could we improve for next time?

• Trivia questions-engaging

  -double check the google form for rsvp

  -enough time for setup

  -go over timing of event(painting and rangoli)

  -be more clear with instructions

2. Future Events

• 2A: ASC 50th Celebration - January 20, 2024

• Let’s work on the panel for the 50th celebration: Señor Orque, take the lead!

  -members or board?

  -include someone who can speak about ASC beyond simplicity

  -Any ASC members will be tour guides

•  Student Panelist ideas? 

• How has ASC formed your identity and helped you navigate SI?

• Someone who can speak about ASC and Affinity Groups

• Draft an email inviting people to be student panelists by next meeting (11/16) - Jordan and Alicia

• Clarify: whether or not panelists will be board or general members of ASC

• For other speaking roles mentioned last week, what would those be? - also clarify if board or members

  -Anthony, Isa, Ashley, maybe?

•  2B: ID Formation Event for 50th Anniversary: could we get alumni to come speak during the week before the 50th anniversary? (Orque w/ the info)

• 2C: Lunar New Year event: event date is set for Friday February 16, 2024

• Reach out to CCC to see what their plans are? - Nam and Ashley

   -Dumpling making event (10th CCC anniversary) CCC only?

• Saturday, December 9, Commons - 6 pm

• Encourage students to attend, and be involved in volunteering, etc.

• If your parents are paying for Pasko tickets, remind them to make a note about seating arrangements with their kids.

• Arrived early - Tuesday!

• Sr. Orque is distributing them to those who ordered today (Thurs) after school and tomorrow (Friday) before school

• Ms. Hernandez has replied about donation-before Christmas?
