1. Diwali: THE EVENT IS TODAY AFTER SCHOOL IN THE COMMONS!

Let's practice public speaking after the end of the meeting!

  • Can we make groups for painting diyas and doing Rangolis?

  • Board members for Diyas: Nam, Isa, Jackie, Rini, Caitlin, Carina, Alicia

  • Need art supplies - paintbrushes, paint, newspaper - see Ms. Wolf - Nam and Ashley

  • Board members for Rangolis: Ashley, Anthony, Rohan, Justin, Jordan

  •  After school supplies

  • Go to Ms. Wong’s office - Justin

  • Go to Señor Orque's Classroom: 2 board - Jordan and Anthony

  • Help Rini with food - main entrance - Isa, Nam, Ashley, Rohan, Rini, Jackie

  • Go to Choral Room to REDIRECT ASAP - Carina and Alicia


Reminders Before Later Today: 

  • All board members: welcoming and inviting people, talking to anyone that walks in and especially to anyone that doesn’t have any friends

  • Historian Publicists: taking pictures! Especially for yearbook, and upload to shared ASC Drive ASAP

  • Music: lively 

  • Positive attitude!!!

  • Usually lasts five days during the lunisolar month of Kartika

  • Supplies list by next meeting: moderators when do you think we need to know what is needed?
    - we have enough supplies from last year!

- supplies (only if we are doing something other than rangolis cause Orque has everything): 5 different colors, 5 pounds

  • Encourage students to attend, and be involved in volunteering, etc.
  • If your parents are paying for Pasko tickets, remind them to make a note about seating arrangements with their kids

2B. SIPAC / AALPA Thankgiving event

  • Important to represent ASC!

2C. ASC 50th Celebration - January 20, 2024

  • How has ASC a formed your identity and helped you navigate SI?
  • Someone who can speak about ASC and Affinity Groups
  • Draft an email inviting people to be student panelists by next meeting (11/16) - Jordan and Alicia
