1. From Ms. Wong: I have secured the Freedom Pay for Friday's bake sale. I will be able to leave my AP proctoring assignment a little bit before break begins to set up the freedom pay. Please let me know which board member(s) I will be meeting in the Student Center, or wherever we are selling. Thank you. 
2. Have new board bring Asian food; Rachel will bring lumpia, Katelyn will bring butter mochi ($2.00 each), Tyler will bring pork buns (small), Maybe Rachel (if new board can't) will bring senorita bread, pineapple buns, pastry assortment (anyone who lives in SF)

• Monday, May 1- posters will be up by 2nd week of May
• If they can't make the photo-taking date on Thursday, they have to figure it out themselves 
• go through the doc and check for people choosing heroes from last year or Asian heroes (not Asian American!)

Would ASC be interested in co-sponsoring our May Magis Movie Day on Monday, May 15th? We will be screening the film "The Grace Lee Project" and having a discussion afterwards. The 15th is the latest we can have Movie Day because the last GOYB write up is due on the 17th.

2. Asian American Pacific Heritage month planning (no country per week- just themed events)

• Week 1 - May 5,  Friday 
• Japanese martyrs movie
• change it to something more general- something about the Asian American experience

• Double check the date (May 5th)
• talk to Ayushi to find out how we can incorporate Indian culture
• instead of a homily, we can have 2-3 students give witness talks (but there must still be a connection) 
• find a reading that talks about accepting people that are different than you

• Meeting after school on Friday to have students write letters to teachers about lack of representation in curriculum

1. Debrief Friday Social event

• turn out was bigger than we expected- lot of freshmen
• mostly seniors contributing to conversation, but there were a couple lower class men
• turned out well, even though it was planned last minute- completely student run
• good timing- about 1 hour
• good flow/transitions
• Action item: individual letters to the Social Science department about curriculum change
• have a brainstorming session
• follow Women's March letter format

2. Sweatshirt Distribution - remaining ones

• sold about half
• Friday after school, Room 304 for the remaining people who pre-ordered to pick them up

• How much should extras cost? About 20 extras 
• $25
• should be able to recognize the people who want to buy extras 
• if they haven't been active but want a sweatshirt, they need to give a reason why

2. Sweatshirt update

• they're coming next week!
• $21/person
• still need to decide how to distribute- might be best to hand them out after the talk
• cash payments are easiest

3. Board applications

• there's going to be one application for all the affinity clubs
• Mrs. Hernandez will be in charge of sending it out
• no more treasurer role (just a secretary)
• lower class rep is now the ambassador
• new board will be decided before break

4. Mei Tam '17 TEDX Conference

• Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral 9am to 2pm
• speaking about the lack of Asian representation in media and school curriculum 

5. Graduation sashes

• sash request form- explain why do you want a sash
• will be sent out to all the seniors that identified other than white

6. Affinity Group Celebration, May 10, Wednesday

• that's when seniors are getting sashed!
• not doing a Tri-Club dance this year

7. General Meeting

• board application- self-selecting, but we should have a meeting to explain to those interested what exactly they would be doing
• Wednesday the 29th to talk about applications and sashes (tentative)
