Updates:

• Thank you Jordan and Alicia for the email draft, and Alicia for sending the email again this week!
• Student Panelists: 5 ASC board members - Ashley, Nam, Isa, Anthony, Jackie, Jordan (backup)
• Sr. Orque will send them the questions after today and by the end of the week via email to prepare.
• Should we maybe have another panelist who is NOT a senior? Potentially a sophomore
• Include a shared Google doc to make sure that we don’t repeat answers
• ASC Members will be tour guides
• Look into getting the paper guides from the Ambassador Club 
• Tours start at 5pm, event starts at 6pm

1B: ID Formation Event for 50th Anniversary

• having alumni who come for the 50th celebration to be on a panel

• Following up on your desire to donate money to Stop AAPI Hate. I spoke to Dr. McCann and this is what she shared regarding how to go about making a donation:

  Thank you for your email. It is great the students want a portion of the proceeds from jackets to make a donation. I always just submit a fundraiser check request and include the organization's mailing address and a brief cover letter. I've attached the one we use. Then, the school just sends the check for us. 

  
  
  I have attached the donation letter template/example that Dr. McCann shared. Please take a look and then work together as a board to craft yours. Once your letter is ready, Ms. Wong or Mr. Orque--can you fill out a check request, I can sign off and put the account number before submitting.

5. Nam's ID Formation Brainstorms For the Future

- movie screening of everything everywhere all at once with a discussion afterwards

- collab with LGBTQ+ affinity space talking about intersectionality between asian cultures and sexuality

- could intersect with mental health awareness

- potentially in March

plz send any ideas!!! we wanna start planning early so that we can be ready for stressful months such as april and may when AP tests and finals are around

1. One Dumpling Making event with the Chinese Culture Club For Chinese New Year

2. @Jordan: me and ms. wong were talking and we thought it would be a good idea if Korean Culture Club made their own event for Korean New Year and ASC could support

• Reasoning: so ASC has less prep, more inclusive of asian cultures, no conflicts between clubs, we also agreed on having only one event that we would plan (if we were to plan) we wouldn’t be doing too much work

Questions, thoughts, concerns, jokes, prayers?

1d. Could we also do just a student thing for the 50th anniversary in between 50th ALUMNI CELEBRATION and LNY? If it’s okay with moderators we thought it would be a great idea… or we could also do it in April

– moderators would it be okay if we set a tentative date just so we have a general idea of how to plan next year?

Note from Ms. Wong: we must gather the funds and figure them out before we fully set it because some people have not picked up the jackets and their money will be refunded so before money goes we must figure that out first
